Kevin Richmond

Biography

Hit & Run is extremely excited to announce the addition of Kevin Richmond to our staff. Originally from Florida, Kevin attended Countryside High School where he was a 4-year varsity letterman, named All-County his Junior and Senior years, and was named 1st Team All-State his Senior year. After high school, Kevin played baseball at Florida State University for legendary college baseball coach Mike Martin.

While at Florida State, Kevin was named to the pre-season ACC All-Freshman team. Kevin helped his team to a 2001 Atlantic Coast Conference championship, set a record with 25 consecutive wins, and earn a #1 ranking in NCAA polls. Kevin closed out his collegiate career at the University of Central Florida, where in 2004 his team won the Atlantic Sun Conference championship. In the regionals, Kevin was named to the All NCAA Regional team, as well as the NCAA Regional Tournament 1st team.

After college, Kevin signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Cardinals. Before injuries cut his career short during the 2006 Spring Training, Kevin batted over .250 in over 50 professional at bats, and was a special invite to Winter Camp.

Kevin’s experiences and knowledge of the game are sure to be a great addition to our staff. Kevin is available for private lessons and will help assist our Outlaw coaches at practices.
